Embark Group Claims

Embark Group are a SIPP (self-invested personal pension) and SSAS (small self-administered scheme) provider. They’re also the parent company of Rowanmoor, among others. Like many other firms, they offered SIPPs with temptingly high returns, encouraging customers to move their pensions from their existing workplace schemes.

While this is beneficial if the investment products deliver, it can be deeply problematic if the returns are less than anticipated. If you feel that you were mis-sold your SIPP, you could be entitled to compensation.

What Happened with Embark Group?

Embark Group, while performing fairly strongly at present, own a few problematic companies. One of these is Avalon Investment Services. In the past, some people were advised to move their existing pensions to an Avalon SIPP. However, this put their funds at risk, as they were placed into several high-risk investments. Several of these investments have since become illiquid.

Although many of the customers were recommended Avalon products by independent financial advisors, that doesn’t mean they’re not entitled to some form of compensation; especially if they weren’t given adequate information about the SIPPs, or the level of risk involved.

The same applies for Rowanmoor, another member of the Embark Group. This firm has been dogged by negative press (including accusations of fraud and poor practice), which has led some clients to seek compensation from them too.

If you’ve invested with Avalon, Rowanmoor (or Embark Group) and you believe you might have been mis-sold your SIPP, it’s worthwhile checking to see if you can make a claim. To learn more about your entitlements, give our team a call today.
