Gaudi Claims

Although Gaudi Limited were only established in 2008, a decade later, they were handling accounts that were worth millions. Clients were tempted by the range of investment plans on offer – all of which looked good on paper. The truth of the matter was rather less appealing

Gaudi specialised in SIPPs (self-invested personal pensions). It also administered into several failed companies, such as Beaufort Securities and Greyfriars Asset Management. The big issue with this? These firms had failed because they’d been involved in mis-selling practices.

If you invested in a Gaudi Limited SIPP, there’s a chance you were mis-sold your investment. As such, you could be entitled to compensation.

What Happened with Gaudi Limited?

The problem was that Gaudi administered into both Beaufort Securities and Greyfriars Asset Management. Unfortunately, these firms had previously been investigated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and been found guilty of illegal activity and mis-selling. Here are some more details:

Beaufort Securities: Beaufort was a sizeable operation, with thousands of clients. Gaudi’s involvement was to administer their SIPPs. However, the FCA declared Beaufort to be insolvent, after the US’s Department of Justice accused the company of fraud and other illegal financial practices.

Greyfriars Asset Management: Greyfriars were forbidden to accept any new clients (or money) after the FCA placed sanctions on them in 2016. They were found to have mis-sold many of their SIPPs products, such as ABC Corporate Bonds and Lanner Car Parks Fund. This came after several clients complained that their SIPPs had decreased significantly in value.

Financial regulators believe there could be valid claims from investors on the grounds of mis-selling and/or negligence.

If you invested in a Gaudi SIPP, then you may have been mis-sold the product. That means you could be entitled to receive compensation. To find out more, chat to one of our team today.
