Donald invested £5000 some years ago with Lloyds TSB. He was not in great health at the time but was encouraged to invest his savings for a term of 5 years. Consequently, Donald lost money on his investment when he subsequently surrendered this a few years later.
Donald thought this money was lost forever until he saw an advert for Goodwin Barrett and decided to contact us. After speaking with one of our expert advisers and explaining his situation, it was clear that he had a strong case for making a complaint.
Donald had clearly not been explained things about the investment and his health situation had not been taken into account. These issues, along with others, were raised in a comprehensive complaint report which was then submitted to the Bank for their investigation.
Subsequently, Lloyds TSB agreed with the points raised in the report and they agreed to pay Donald a sum of £1550 which he was delighted with.
