Robert Gaskell

Mr Gaskell approached Lloyds TSB seven years ago when he had received a sum of money from the sale of his previous property. He had recently gone through stressful times as he had lost his mother, got divorced and had also been made redundant.

Mr Gaskell sat down with an adviser from the bank who discussed his circumstances and made recommendations of an Investment Bond and an ISA. Mr Gaskell was not told he might lose money and not told he may only get a small return. He was led to believe that he would make high returns on his investment.

Mr Gaskell saw an advert for our service in his local paper and decided to give us a call. We put together a detailed complaint on behalf of Mr Gaskell and after just a few weeks the bank agreed that the advice had indeed been unsuitable. As a result of this, they made an offer of compensation of £2,100.
